Yet so many of us live our lives with old programming operating in the background on a subconscious level. Fortunately, our soul knows that this inner muzzle is the perfect costume adornment from which to want to break-free from and be our truest, most authentic self. Our soul does its best to prod us out of our comfort zone long enough for us to listen to its calling and recognize our gifts we are meant to share.
Nonetheless there are aspects of ourselves that are resistant to getting on board with us truly honoring our creative impulses and seeing these through to creative fruition. Transforming these places where we are holding ourselves back out of fear is the key to unlocking the joy that expands from within us, from living a regret free life, where we show up in our fullest, most authentic, expression.
So balancing your throat chakra will reassure the frustrated inner child (whose done one too many paint by number snowmen) that feeling truly connected to your creativity comes from expressing your creativity authentically. When this chakra is imbalanced you will have a tendency to travel the spectrum of expressing from one extreme or the other.
You may notice that at times your attention-seeking behavior is not honoring your creations; that you are motivated by chasing external pay-offs above inner fulfillment, sacrificing artistic integrity. Conversely, you may be feeling suffocated and silenced, following the norms and expectations of others, at the expense of expressing your own unique perspective.
As a result, you may experience self-doubt, impostor syndrome, sell yourself short, or just plain sell-out. These imbalances can leave you feeling your body, mind, and soul belong to someone else who’s not paying rent. After all, the throat chakra fans the creative spark into a flame and when your intentions express who you truly are your joy sizzles and you warm to the realization that it is authentic to be creative!
